Ballgames, weddings and rain

Today I went to the Stitch N’ Pitch meeting for Nancy where we discussed the final preparations for the game. All of you St. Louis area knitters out there who don’t have your tickets yet, you need to get them from your LYS before it’s too late. Last year was a lot of fun except for the hell hot August day that it was. This year is going to be better. In addition to the free gift bags there will be a raffle for some really great stuff and of course the batting practice drawing. Our seats are even supposed to be better. After the meeting, I went over to Chris’ shop around the corner from where we met and bought this.

I’m going to use this to make a shawl for my niece’s wedding that I’ll be going to in June. I know I’ll get cold at the reception and the colors in the Noro Silk Garden match the accent colors in my dress perfectly. For the past two weeks I’ve been looking for the perfect yarn and this is it. I was planning to design my own shawl, but I found a pattern too. I’m going to try to start it tonight.

I got most of my flowers planted today (no pictures of them though). I need to get more flowers. Somehow I forgot the flowers for my three main pots. Go figure. I also have two really large planters on the patio that I put Dragon Wing Begonias in and I have to go to a certain nursery to get those. I want to finish planting tomorrow, but it is supposed to rain. What’s new. All it has done this spring in Missouri is rain. I’m sick of it! Hopefully it won’t rain on gameday or the wedding (it’s outside). I think the wedding is safe. It’s not in Missouri.

I love the shawl pattern you’re knitting up, and those colors are great.

The shawl is very pretty and of course blue, greens, teals are my favorite colors. Of
course you know how sick I am of all this rain. It rained on my wedding day too.
That should have told me something since I’ve been single for a long time. Please
post your shawl when you have it finished.

Love the yarn colors, and the begonia is spectacular!

I didn’t tell you on my other comment. Look for some flowers called circus or clown
flowers. I don’t know their real name, but they come in a variety of colors and
look like little bells. They were perfect for my patio planters and very prilifirous???
spelling? You need spell check on your blog for people like me who are to lazy or
whatever to get out the dictionary. I also sent you an e-mail about your red socks.
